Sara and Mike had their wedding at Island Lake Lodge in Fernie. They were surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, lush forests, and the crystal-clear lake. The beauty of a wedding at Island Lake Lodge is, you can spend the entire weekend with those you love. The lodge boosts 26 guest rooms, provided breakfast and even a spa! As such this wedding felt more like a family vacation than a one day affair.
S and M took such care in finding a venue that would keep all of their guests entertained. When they discovered Island Lake it seemed like the perfect choice. Not only does the lodge allow for all of your key family and friends to stay together, it also has so many outdoor actives that you can access right from its front door. You can canoe or swim in the lake, hike in the mountains, or even go for a mountain bike ride—perfect for the couple who got engaged while actually mountain biking!
I challenge you to find a better place for an outdoor education teacher and an adventure sport store owner to get married. Go ahead. I’ll wait.
To see another stunning mountain side venue go check out Robbie and Norm’s Canmore wedding at the Malcom Hotel.
