Kim and Daniel chose to elope in a remote wilderness spot, accompanied by two close friends, embracing their love for adventure and the great outdoors.
Celebrating love with a Whistler hiking elopement in a remote wilderness setting, surrounded by serene alpine waters and breathtaking mountain views.
K and D met while in the US military. They were stationed in different states and would only get leave to meet once in a while. When that rare time together did come around they always chose to meet up in one of the stunning national parks that pepper America. According to K being outdoors and hiking became their love language. Being in nature is where they both felt most alive, most connected to themselves, and it is where their love story blossomed. As such it only made sense to plan a very adventurous hiking elopement to honour their relationships beginnings. The couple researched adventurous elopement photographers and found me! Together we discussed their vision for their elopement and came up with a perfect location in the Whistler backcountry.
They knew they wanted to have a hiking elopement in Whistler, but the thing was, it would not to be easy. K and D were up for the challenge. They would have to source a rental vehicle that could make it up a decommissioned logging road, as well as a means to paddle across a 2km lake. Nether of these are simple tasks when you are not from the area. But that is where I came in! As their elopement photographer and adventure guide I was able to assist them in finding a place they could get these types of rental equipment. Ultimately we found Outland Adventure Vehicle Rentals for their truck, and Squamish Watersport’s for their tandem inflatable kayaks. We had the gear. We had the plan. The vision was coming to life!
