A Casual Couples Session at the Squamish Estuary
As a Squamish couples photographer, I’m stoked to capture the pure joy of couples on their wedding days. But, you know what really get me excited? A casual couples photography session! Especially when it takes place in a location that holds significance to the couple. You know why? Because, when you are more comfortable in a location you consequently you look more comfortable in your photos overall! This adorable Squamish couples photography session does just that.
Recently, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this amazing couple along with their furry friend, Rubble. And yes, you heard that right. You can totally bring your doggo along to your couples photography session!
Heck, bring them to your wedding too! They are a part of your family, after all.
The three (or should I say four? Woof!) of us set out for the Squamish Estuary, which provides the perfect laid-back setting for all types of couples photography, no matter the season. With breathtaking mountain views and serene waters, it’s the perfect backdrop for capturing unforgettable moments together as can be seen in all of the images we captured.
At first we walked along the Estuary trail toward the water. The couples bond with Rubble (the dog) shone through right away. Evidently, he is a key member of their little family and I was able to capture their affection for each other with ease. Once deep in the Estuary itself, we danced and played in the fields. The stunning rock face of the Chief loomed in the background obviously creating the perfect setting for some epic shots!
In time the sun began to set and our photography session descend into blue hour. During this time we snapped some moody yet gorgeous photographs of this beautiful, fun Squamish couple. Unquestionably, the entire experience was filled with laughter, love, and adventure for all.
This Squamish couples photography session was a wonderful reminder of how much beauty can be found in life’s simple moments. It was an absolute honour to capture the love and happiness that this couple shares, and I know that these photographs will be cherished by them for years to come (I already know they have printed some for their walls at home!).
